About Us
Trinity Lutheran Church was established June 8, 1889. It was incorporated under the laws of Dakota Territory and a certificate was issued to that effect on August 2, 1889. Many changes have taken place at Trinity Lutheran since that blessed day.
As God had blessed our founding fathers with a bountiful havest in the year of 1890, a new church was built and held its first service December 9, 1890.
Services we conducted in Norwegian until the calling of Rev. George C. Brenni, 1927-1937; during his tenure the transition from Norwegian to English services was made.
On July 6, 1945, ground breaking was held for a basement to be dug and the church moved to where it now stands. A new parsonage was built in 1959. Remodeling of the church narthex and basement we completed in the fall of 1981.
Being a progressive church, Trinity Lutheran continues to make needed and necessary improvements.
With thankfulness, gratitude and respect, we the congregation of Trinity Lutheran Church fondly remember our forefathers and all those who have gone before who struggled to organize and develop this congregation so that this generation and others will have church family.
